Problem:
One person responsible for reviewing and approving too many schedules. Leads to:
A bottle neck in the process.
Lack of trust and causes frustration in the tender team.
Delays milestones and follow-on processes.
Quick fix:
Limit review to strategic and commercially sensitive schedules. Find a trusted peer to review the balance of schedules.
Long-term fix:
Plan - don’t load up one person with more than a handful of schedules.
Time - consider familiarity with content, size of document, and time available.
Type - be clear if you are after a detailed or strategic review and how feedback can be provided.
